The results from a survey of seven Ohio State astronomers, chosen because they happened to be in their offices when I walked down the hall, confirms the results of a larger preprint sample. No-one liked a double column format. There was a mix of opinions on whether or not to single space the text. Most preferred the title, abstract, and main text on separate pages, but a significant minority felt strongly that the title and abstract should be on the same page.
